I have had a lifelong interest in design. My mother taught me to sew when I was nine and I went on to make many of my own clothes. I studied Fashion Design in New York City and worked for several years as a designer of women’s apparel.
When we moved to Virginia, I knew my days in fashion were probably numbered, though my fascination with style has never waned. Since I love fabrics, I wanted to focus on bringing color and beautiful textiles to other people’s homes. I threw myself into learning everything I could about window treatments.
I opened my company in 1988, designing and sewing draperies. While I now offer full service design, luxury fabrics and couture sewing are the inspiration for almost every project I work on
